WILL ORDERS FINISHES FIRST DAY SECOND IN CLASS  - Sunday, September 23, 2012
In the 2WD Class, Summit Rally Team's Will Orders and Toni Feaver are climbing back higher onto the 2WD Podium and starting day two 52 seconds behind class leaders, Chris Duplessis and Alex Kihurani.


Orders overtook Andrew Comrie-Picard and Jeremy Wimpey on stage 9 after the stage was stopped. Five cars started the stage and the rest of the field were given a stage 9 finishing time. Orders was the last to finish the stage and it was enough to overtake Comrie-Picard by 5.6 seconds.


The 20 mile Nahwatzel stage will favor Order's RWD Nissan because the stage has long straight sections.

BEGINNING OF DAY TWO  - Sunday, September 23, 2012
62 rally cars on the reseed start list for the second day of the Olympus Rally. First car out at 9:30am PT to head to the Nahwatzel stage. Only one 20 mile stage on the schedule today, the last stage of the Rally America National Championship. The Nawhatzel stage is a big stage to start the morning that has sections of fast, wide and long straightaways. Victory celebration back at the Ridge Motorsprorts Park.

Lauchlin O'Sullivan and Scott Putnam Wins Super Production Class  - Saturday, September 22, 2012
Lauchlin O'Sullivan and Scott Putnam mathematically secured the 2012 Super Production Class title after his second place rival, David Sterckx and Karen Jankowski, failed to finish the event.


Sterckx needed to win the Class to receive the points needed to tie O'Sullivan for first place. O'Sullivan can now rejoice and enjoy the Olympus Rally knowing the SP Class is his.

Lauchlin O'Sullivan Closer to SP Class Title  - Saturday, September 22, 2012
Super Production Class points leaders Lauchlin O'Sullivan and Scott Putnam are a step closer after reports received of David Sterckx and Karen Jankowski retiring on stage 4 due to an off.


Sterckx was hoping to win SP so he could potentially tie O'Sullivan for first place.

2WD National Class drivers Chris Greenhouse and Billy Irvin are out of the rally with a broken oil pan and couldn't get of service.


The team hopes to return for the regional event.

Byron Garth from Bend, OR has a 14.8 second lead over current Super Production Class points leader, Lauchlin O'Sullivan, after the first stage. Could Garth be a sleeper pick to win the Class?

Olympus Rally Dust Windows  - Saturday, September 22, 2012
The event is running on 2 minute dust windows, meaning each car has a 2 minute gap on stage. First five cars have 3 minute dust window.


It took an hour and 11 minutes for the first 34 cars to come back to service. It's going to be a long day!
