Seed 9 Rally Concludes SouthWest Regional Championship

Organizers offer online options to follow the competition and announce Wolf LED SYSTEMS as event sponsor.

The Seed 9 Rally comes to Jean, NV on November 3rd to add rally racing flavor where the famous Mint 400 and BITD Series off-road events take place. The Seed 9 Rally will be the concluding event for Rally Americaís 2012 Southwest Regional Championship as well as for the Bilstein Southwest RallyCup Series presented by Lucas Oil.

Last yearís Seed 9 Rally, Bill Holmes from Malibu, CA and co-driver Sean Gallagher from Santa Ana, CA, are back in their high-powered 2011 Ford Raptor to attempt back-to-back overall wins. But the duo will face stiff competition from John Black from Running Springs, CA and co-driver Lori Stone from Simi Valley, CA in their rally prepared 1994 Ford Ranger, who currently sit third overall in the SouthWest Regional Championship and needing a Seed 9 Rally win to help secure a higher position.

In addition, the Down and Dirty Off-Road Radio Show with Jim Beaver will preview the Seed 9 Rally at 9:30pm PT on Monday, October 29th. The co-efficient 2 Seed 9 Rallyís six stages will mostly take place at night giving top regional rally teams plenty of challenge over the rough gravel, sandy Bureau Land Management county roads. This event is often cited as a driver favorite for the fast speeds and tricky technical corners. Seed 9 Rally organizers will offer Saturday morning stage road reconnaissance allowing teams to take their own pacenotes and get more familiar with the challenges ahead.

Rally car tech inspection will be held at the Gold Strike Casino parking lot in Jean, NV on Saturday beginning at 11:00am. Organizers will host the festive Seed 9 Rally award ceremony at the historic Pioneer Saloon in a building dating back over 100 years and a wood bar from the 1800ís. Drivers will enjoy a BBQ on the heated wood deck and share the dayís stories.

Fans can receive viewing location instructions to the start of a Seed 9 Rally stage to watch the competitor race through a mountain pass. Visit entrance of Gold Strike Casino no later than 1pm to allow for adequate travel time. Be sure to bring clothes for any weather condition, food and water. But you can get a better Seed 9 Rally viewpoint by becoming a volunteer helping to secure stage roads and run event-timing controls. Training is provided.
